Definitely way ahead of its time – an entire city of pedestrian malls!
Great collection of photos. These are some of your best photos so far – or maybe just my personal favourites. It feels as though I am looking through a window at the city and unnoticed.
The alleys are surprisingly clean.
Thanks Aimee. Varanasi was a surprisingly enjoyable city to photograph in–it felt effortless. And yes, river aside, it is remarkably clean.
